Description

The FFG Flat Fish Gutting machine is a ground-breaking machine for automatically stripping freshly-caught plaice. An experienced fisherman can strip an average of 10 to 15 plaice per minute by hand. With the FFG Flat Fish Gutting machine, 2 fishermen can process up to 80 plaice per minute. This is several times faster. In addition, a major advantage of the Flat Fish Gutting machine is that everyone can achieve the same result. It is highly user friendly and precise.

This is how it works

The Flat Fish Gutting machine consists of a revolving oval carousel with a number of product positions on top. One or multiple people add the plaice to the product holders. In addition, the fish is secured into place with a specially designed clamp and moved to the protected part of the Flat Fish Gutting machine, where it is stripped in the right position and sucked empty. Finally, the stripped plaice is tidily rinsed clean and unloaded to prepare for sorting into classes 2, 3 or 4.

Important benefits

In addition to the fact that stripping the plaice with the Flat Fish Gutting machine is quicker, more consistent and less labour-intensive, an additional benefit is that the fish has a longer shelf life thanks to a lower germ count and the fact that filleting companies can get more return from the fish thanks to the uniform cut.

Built for work at sea

The Flat Fish Gutting machine has been designed for the extreme weather and working conditions on board your ship. All materials are suitable for foods and resistant to sea water. The machine has a compact, robust design and can be attached to the processing deck of your ship.

With the Flat Fish Gutting machine, you can quickly, simply and safely process your haul on board!
