Description
The SOLLAU magnetic pulley is designed for the automatic and permanent removal of magnetic iron metals from inert materials. The most important part of the machine consists of a set of ferrite or neodymium NdFeB magnets that rotate around an axis together with an external stainless steel drum.
How the magnetic pulley works
The magnetic pulley is generally an integral component of a conveyor belt, unlike the magnetic drum separator. The strong magnets catch and drag the ferromagnetic contaminations on the surface of the rotating stainless steel drum. The ferrous parts fall from the drum once they are beyond the magnetic core.
The magnetic field of the magnetic pulley is around 100 mm high. For this reason, it is advised that the product layer on the belt is no higher than 80 mm. If the product layer is any higher, then we advise combining the head roller magnetic separator with an overband magnetic separator or a block magnet.
